3 kiwis
The assignment was to use the technique of hand building and create a metaphorical piece. My sculpture is what I call "3 Kiwi's", the bird, the fruit, and the nickname.
edgy bowls
The assignment was to use the technique of wheel throwing to create a three piece set of bowls. I started on the wheel and then added some details and a textured glazing to complete me set.
vase and cups
The assignment was to use the technique of wheel throwing to create cups and a pitcher. I added some small details to relate the pieces, with a nice green glazing color.
the brick vase
The assignment was to use the technique of coil construction. This piece has a happy accident of melting to the brick stone it was placed in the kiln on. Now it became the perfect door stop.
