I became drawn to discovering the many variations that one can find in doilies from antique and thrift shops. I came across so many, and thought there had to be a way to reuse them and display their beautiful intricacies. I started turning them into dreamcatchers. And it caught the attention of many. I started an Etsy shop in 2015, and since then have sold or gifted over 80 dreamcatchers, and made over 100.
make a wish gala
I had the unique opportunity to set up a stand at a Make A Wish Gala and sell my dreamcatchers. Out of my sales, I chose to donate. 20% of each purchase to the Make A Wish foundation. I was able to contribute a little over $100 to the foundation. This gala gave me the opportunity to brand my small business.
