My Role. Using existing building documents, to create a design for the existing lobby, public corridors, and shared break room space. To translate a design into 3D renders and create final pricing plan documents to coordinate with contractor for construction.

Above you can see pictures of the existing space. A very out dated design with aging materials and poor lighting quality. The unique curves and shapes of the ceiling were an influence on how the flooring finishes and transitions were re-designed. The existing space has many framed artwork showing the Arizona desert landscape, this was something the clients wanted to re-use. I decide to focus my inspiration for the colors and finishes, to be around the Arizona vibrancy. Adding more graphics and color with new imagery and materials.

One of my big design moves in the space was a custom ceiling design to trail through the main corridors. This was to bring connection through the long space, and bring more acoustical properties. The lighting would be aligned within the gaps for the angled ceiling design. And a touch of wood on the edges brings a new warmth throughout.

After completing and presenting these renders, with approval, I carried on to create pricing plan construction documents of the demo plan, floorplan, reflected ceiling plan and finish plan.
